Steve Dominguez began his extensive career in the mortgage industry in November 1988 when mortgage rates were 12-13%!. Since then he has helped thousands of families, couples, and individuals obtain their dream of homeownership, whether moving up to a better home, or buying for the first time.
Steve began his mortgage career in Los Angeles in 1988, then moved to the Coachella Valley in 1992, where he originated loans at First Interstate Bank in downtown Palm Springs. When FIB merged, Steve took his skills to Glendale Federal Bank, which then became Cal Fed, then CitiBank. In 2003 he boarded the stagecoach at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, and soon after was promoted to Private Mortgage Banker, providing mortgage services for the bank’s wealthiest clients.
Several years, and several mortgage companies later, he felt constrained by the limited product offerings of these lenders and the higher rates they charged to cover their high overhead. So he took a giant leap of faith and decided to become an Independent Mortgage Broker in July 2020, during the height of COVID!
Now, as a Mortgage Broker Steve is approved with over 180 mortgage lenders. What this means to you, the consumer, is that Steve can shop around on your behalf for the best available rates and terms. He also has access to many “out of the box” programs for self employed borrowers, jumbo loan borrowers, and property investors, to name a few. (Steve also does Reverse Mortgages, and has access to lenders for commercial properties and multi-unit dwellings.)
